But most of all - thank YOU.

I reached a certain number of subscriptions, and Substack suggests I post something about this milestone. Even for this only-child Leo, that makes me feel self conscious!

But I do think it makes sense to politely introduce myself, since now this is more than my friends. And my mom. And my mom’s friends. And even more than that because at this point there are a lot of style/fashion blogs you can choose from on Substack. I am so grateful you’re here! Thank you!

I’m here because even with all the style blogs out there, I was craving something. It’s that “something” that led me to the two business women I follow most religiously, Trinny Woodall and Amy Smilovic. Now believe me, I’m not suggesting I’m anywhere near their impact, knowledge, following, or innate ability. In the words of that great poet Cher Horowitz: AS IF!

But I thought maybe it made the most sense, in terms of what I’m doing here, to show you by using them as the yardstick because they are my daily must-consumes. So here goes.

Oh and also! If Trinny is often brights and sequins, and Amy is often the “yucky colors” (her words) and chill, I like both. You know how people are a sweet OR a salty? 100% of the time I am ordering French fries. But I also can’t go to bed without dessert. My personal style DNA is approachable, heritage, modern + Miami. What that means: Approachable: I like clothes that feel eased out and not too tight or too tricky. Heritage: I like clothes grounded in what is traditionally thought of as menswear. Things like suits, button-ups, big pants, denim. Modern: I am interested in fashion and the shapes and ideas that are happening right now. Miami: And I like a little drama, daily. (Also: facepalm is my favorite emoji.)

Also — tell me what you want to know. I’ll do my best to dig into it.
