Interesting —The shirt is not a reference to what you describe (as far as I understand it) but a simple play on words, rhyming something to coffee. I thought it was funny having never heard that from the 50s. But I wouldn’t imagine you’d want to use that phrase “all the time” — of course it’s racist to imitate someone’s inability to pronounce words in their second language.
