The other day, I was sitting in a cafe and this woman walked in, full of — something. Life. Pink cheeked, shiny hair, big smile, kind-in-the-world confidence. I thought — she is beautiful, she has style, she has IT, that Mary Tyler Moore hat-in-the-air magic.

Here’s what she was wearing: Loose white jeans. A simple orange t-shirt. Black ankle boots with an interesting heel. And a straw bag. Ok a Prada straw bag. But an unassuming, slouchy, aged one.
