On Tuesday I came home.
It’s so strange to look at these photos. It’s just one week in time but I feel a world away. It’s hard to say goodbye to people I love — VERY HARD — but my heart! My heart. It feels so good to say hello to home. My home. Where I feel — not just comfortable, but like my happiest self.
I miss my family so much. But I feel like a new woman.
The outfit planning theme for the week was teachers/students. Next week’s theme is “weekend warrior” - translating weekend looks + elements you like into weekday looks.
MONDAY
What: My Tibi Stella Chinos (ooo now on sale on Outnet!) My new M.Gemi leopard flats. Penn “split P” tee. Old Frankie Shop vest. Prada nylon cap.
Why: This feels like a million years ago, not like this past week. I was staying in our new Boston apartment all day, working and packing. The outfit planning theme was “students + teachers” and I felt like the tweedy vest and chinos were very prep school teacher ala The Holdovers.
Outcome: I loved wearing this, actually. Felt comfy all day, but also like myself, I think because of the leopard shoe (MIA!) and the big pants. Mannish x Miami = me.
TUESDAY
What: My Balenciaga oversized pink coat, which is like instant endorphin rush (oooh, here’s a used one!). Tibi gray tee. Miu Miu x NB sneakers. Comme des Garcons white heart cardigan. Old yellow Frankie Shop pants. Bottega burgundy belt bag. Old Celine necklace. Also accessorized with a husband.
Why: I wanted to be comfy, wear my biggest shoes (tight packing!), get this pink coat to Miami, and be warm on the plane where I often get cld and later sick (no blankets on AA, still!). Abandoned the theme and leaned into my Miami side.
Outcome: I loved all these colors, a true “Tibi ton” — and felt totally comfy and me.
