More than photo shoots of breakfast. More than a celeb name. More than a bunch of untested links to brands paying out at 15%. More than fast fashion. More than a one way missive. More kindness. More honesty. More resources. More “been there.” More conversation.

• I don’t believe you “either have it or you don’t” when it comes to style — I believe we can learn it, and I am ready to get into it with you.

• I’m truly accessible and approachable. I respond. I answer reader questions.

• I’m a grown up. Literally and figuratively. No snark, no lunchroom b.s. And I understand the things only a 50+ year old understands.

• I am trying to be a good person, free of judgement — it creates a community of kindness.

• I am a gate lifter, not a gate keeper.

• I will be very imperfect, but I’ll always tell the truth.

• I am an early adopter of secondhand shopping. No fast fashion here. We seek out reasonable, responsible alternatives.

• We only share what we love. We only accept only select gifts and are scrupulously honest with any affiliate linking or other paid promotions.

• This is a community of people looking for more, and the paid community in particular is intended to create long term connections. It’s special and it’s vulnerable.

A treat (and value) you can count on

I follow a regular schedule (1 weekly drop for unpaid, 3 for paid) with additional surprises. You don’t have to read it all! But you get to. Sometimes it’s just what you need on a particular day. Been there. Posts will always have new information or ideas.

This has become a smart, warm, engaged community. People who are real, who are ready to help each other. Good people. It means a lot, and it’s inspiring to talk style/shopping/life with people who aren’t superficial and have life experience.
