First up — here’s what I set out to do for June:
(1) LIMIT QUANTITY. “Yes, I want to enjoy serendipitous shopping but not with this level of quantity.”
(2) REPEAT. “I still find myself putting new outfits together daily. I want to get more joy and use from the pieces I love. And have fewer limited-use items.”
And here’s what happened
sold
I sent about 15 items to Castanet. And put about 10 beautiful Tibi pieces I’m just not wearing — too hot, or maybe I bought something similar, or maybe just a teeny bit off on me — on sale at Dora Maar. Which is now 30% off sitewide, BTW. And I took 5 items to the local Miami reseller before leaving. So about 30 pieces.
bought new in store/online (4)
My Ralph Lauren men’s suit and Ralph Lauren men’s jeans, which I talked all about in my RL story
John Elliot brown dress, which I wore once, had altered, decided was a mistake, and sold before it became a money pit, forgiving myself. (You can see it here, with my Valeria piece, which is the only way I liked it!) Why did I make this mistake?
I ignored the BASH test: Do not shop while bored, anxious, sad or hungry — shopped while hot and anxious about moving and packing for a big trip to a foreign country
Marni short sleeve jacket (the one I had wanted before, when it dropped to 40% off) — DM to order: @lilboofpack
bought independent (2)
an incredible new ring from a shop my mom and I both love on Charles Street in Boston called December Thieves (one left and it’s $54.)
these shoes from another Charles Street female-owned favorite, French and Italian. I loved the Tibi black raffia shoes, but that cut around the ankle is one I know isn’t good for me. So these were a nice alt. Very comfy and TTS. I took a 38. Half sizes, go up if you’re wide. I’m having mine soled RN but I’ll show you them on soon!
