Your family is a You Tube serial waiting to happen! “A Book, A Brand, A Blazer: lessons from the Solar-Solomon family.” So darling.

Is this a good moment to just say I ADORE THE HECK OUT OF YOU!? (oops, I think I just shouted that so the whole room could hear). Seriously though, your posts are always so generous, helpful, and informative to us readers, I love your humor, and style (of course), and sensibilities. And especially the warm, chill, no-judgment atmosphere you create. Like Christine said, you're a bright spot in my week!

I might take you up on that! What are your thoughts on bifurcating your closet? I've been attempting to take Amy's advice and not saving "Going Out Tops" for going out for dinner. But I'm finding I actually like upping my game a bit when going out for dinner and wearing something different, a little more special? Not to mention I notice my stains on items I wear throughout the day!

Expand full comment

I am all about the non-bifurcation in general but ... I get that. If you go out to dinner fairly often, why not keep them for that, but just don’t make it a rule. If you end up feeling like you wanna wear them to meet a friend during the day, say, why not do that? I think non bifurcating can be more about giving yourself permission to do what you want.

Hi! Nice to meet you, oficially! Much better than piecing together someone's life story from social media snippets (though looks like I had most things right ;) ).

Love Substack. Love you. So nice to have a place where people can really write. And without being squeezed through tje editorial and SEO machine. My job has been so technical lately, and I have missed writing!

The fashion ponderings are great too ;)

Renae, thank you so much for this. I total get that feeling when the job isn't scratching a certain itch, BTW. Grateful you're here.
