Kelly - I agree!! @Hey Mrs. Solomon on Style couldn’t you keep it mind for some fancy outing (that you might dread). It’s just so (dare I say it…) PRETTY ON YOU!!
Great learnings! So true @ making it your own. Plus, agreed so much about adding a different style for friction. I just added a grunge-y tie dye top to my closet and at first I had doubts because I’m not a grungey person but that’s the whole point. Adding variety.
So many great fits here! And I will say again, no one wears grey like you do. Beautiful color combos.
I love how you are mixing colors! So much inspo. Also your statement "what shoes are YOU in the mood for " so much of that is getting lost with social media.
It's on sale too : https://shopmy.us/collections/1739642 -- over a tank, over a swin suit top or plain looking bra - maybe chocolate brown, under a buttoned up blazer or cardigan, peeking up ... as a vert over a fitted tee ... over a slip dress, over a turtleneck body suit xx
Rachel, you look absolutely amazing with your crossbody mini Bolide bag! Love, love, love it! 😍 I’m completely obsessed with how it enhances the whole look. Can I ask what color your bag is? It’s simply gorgeous, and I’m wondering if it might be my favorite Rouge H. 💕
Hi Rachel - I have been considering this for a few posts. How does size inclusivity fit into consideration of whether a brand has ethical practices? I have not figured this out yet. I ordered a dress, tank, and “one size” briefs from a brand you’ve mentioned a few times. The dress was too small and I could barely get the “one size” briefs on. I’m a size 6. I get that not every brand works for every body. But if a 6 is a large, and the brand goes up to XL (which seems to be the case), that brand excludes most women. I understand (some of)the economics of it - it is just too expensive for smaller brands to cut samples for “larger” sizes, and then to hire models. Surely there is a reason our beloved Tibi uses exclusively thin models. But do we continue to support these brands? Do we ask them to do better? (spoiler alert: if you’re me, yes. Sometimes the responses are surprising! Jamie Haller was the best. Frank and Eileen was trash.)
That’s a really good point. Will you DM me which brand? I want to know more - I haven’t had that issue and have tried at least one item (or say, my mom has) from any brand I reference. But generally it’s a problem. A brand like SKIMS can afford a good size range and range of models. And yet lots of reports re environmental fails. A small batch brand trying to produce ethically can’t afford the large runs that enable a wider size range. I like to think you support the ones that have a heart in the right place and ethical leadership, helping them grow and afford more size skus. Xx. But it sucks don’t get me wrong.
It was fun to see all your mermaid inspired outfits. I love the first one with the structured dress, your hair pulled back, and the big earrings. It's like mermaid, but she's going out to dinner in LA
Thanks for the post, on the hunt for a cropped blazer to offset my big pants, no wool or linen, as I am allergic. I also like the LOF white dress, but no linen. Lmk if you come across anything! I love the whole mermaidy vibe!
I know, I know! I get horrible hives. Once every couple of years I break down and buy something wool or linen and then regret. Dissh has a white cotton button up dress on sale now…
Ok but Wednesday’s look is so, utterly flawless. I know it’s not entirely YOU but is gorgeous.

Lolzzzz! I love the pieces;-) I think maybe just a more masculine shoe would do it next time xx

Thank you so much. I’m so glad we found each other!
Very inspiring - both the outfits but also your thought process and insights ❤️ And that pliable dress on you! Feels like such a versatile chameleon 🫶
I am so excited to read your note — thank you ❤️

Thank you for that!
Awhile back there was a link to a mesh Helmut Lang tank top - love this piece but have hesitated. Curious how you would style it. Thanks!
