I find so much value in your posts- thank you! This line is particularly brilliant, “ A silk dress might be plenty comfortable and airy, but realistically you won’t feel right sitting around in that eating a spoonful of almond butter or cleaning the counter.” You get me!!!! 😅

I am so glad! And glad I have a companion in the almond butter spoon space :-)

Thank you for the idea. I will try it and get use of my dress collection sitting in my closet. My lifestyle would probably allow me to wear the one + done for about 1 hour a day since I wear scrubs to work then come home and change into tights to go running then shower and change to second set of tight for yoga. (Yoga is a must I do it to counteract my jobs difficult positioning for hours and keeps me from taking Advil) so by the time I’m done wearing all my uniforms I have little time left in the day ; however it would be the best part of my day. So thank you very much for sharing your enlightenment

A one and done dress may not be your thing! Or maybe it's what you put on before yoga over yoga wear if you meet someone for coffee. But given what you're saying, I hope you love your yoga wear since that's such a part of your life!

Ok…love this.

I have never found a O&D dress.. except for my rib tank dresses but I always feel too bare. I agree with your friend that what I see has ruffles or looks commercial and not modern.

Your suggestions are great and I’m heading straight to Lee Matthews site- love the shirt dresses & modern silhouettes.

I can try that definitely. And no my yoga wear is very basic. I need to maybe look into that 🤔😍

That rugby dress has really caught my attention! For me, a dress is not a one and done if I need to think about what underwear I’m wearing under it. I love thin tshirt dresses and shirt dresses but they require nude and/or seamless undies underneath. A rugby dress has heavier fabric so this would be less of an issue!

My current words I’m working with are luxurious, undone, rebellious and (occasionally) sensual. A good cotton fabric feels luxurious to me, the sloppy sleeves on that Raey dress feels undone, and the “wrong” shoes (dr martens sandals, converse high tops) would add enough rebellion to the mix...
