The outfits are as amazing as the takeaways, this made me LOL, "If you don’t love hanging around in your bathing suit in general, adding clothing on top doesn’t necessarily change that enough to make you want to wear it elsewhere."

SO much agree! I too, am only comfortable in bathing suit tops as tops (sometimes). One pieces or bottoms, never! LOVED this post. Thanks for the sacrifice for science.

So good, begs a question. I have been asking myself since time in memorial which is why do swimsuits and underwear look like they’re designed by men for women instead of by and for women with actual asses? Also the note that is underneath the photo of you with the LV pareo looks like it refers to a different outfit unless I’m going completely mad. Which is a high possibility. 😂😂

Love this sooo much and can totally relate as a pilates instructor who hates leggings lol can you imagine??(joggers only for me…the crotch can’t take 12 hours of leggings!) so…an all day bathing suit?? Not unless it comes with my own beach house baby! and even then it’s debateable I think I’d be all caftan all day hahahaha that being said…the Left on Friday Sunday suit can go a little farther distance than most…hope everyone out here is having a beautiful oeaceful day 💜

This was such a fun and honest read—I was cracking up and nodding along the whole time! Your takeaways are spot on, especially about swimsuits never competing with regular clothes (and the eternal "ass eats swimsuit" struggle 😂). Also, that Tuesday outfit? Absolute fire. And I have to say, your Thursday post-walk look was chef’s kiss. Those Loewe pants paired with the LV pareo and Blakely tee? Perfection. The whole vibe was so polished but thoughtful—softness mixed with menswear sharpness, and the contrast totally worked. Loved this! Keep the brilliance coming! 👏 👏 👏 👏

I splurged on a couple pair of swim shorts from Nu-Swim this year—just like the nylon wind shorts I wore in the late 80s, with a gossamer light liner that’s shaped like a generous bikini bottom. I haven’t worn them in the water yet, but love them for hanging around. I can also wear the tops as supposed-to-see bras.

I know you are judicious with links, but if you have a link for the Prada leggings, or a “good leggings” collection, I’d be interested 😄. Maybe you already have one, I’ll go check

I love that you did this because…. Why would I complicate my life with a one piece instead of a tank top? WHYYYYY?and, I dunno, I am fine in a swimsuit at a pool or on the beach, but I don’t want to be wearing in anywhere else even if I like it.

Thanks for being real! I’ve been really wondering if this trend is for real given the need to completely undress to go to the bathroom. Thanks for helping me realise im not crazy! Swimsuits as clothes really only make sense when I’m on a beach vacation.

This was such a hilarious honest read. Thanks for brightening my day.
