How about the word alluring? Love this posting and looking forward to see your style change. Remember change is good!

agree - the word "fleshly" is hitting me differently than intended.

Alluring is all about how it looks to the viewer … so that one doesn’t appeal to me! But I think use whatever word works for you!

Mini…yes but for me with tights (4 knee surgeries later my knees look like cauliflowers…) another crazy-but-so-good concept I learned from DVF…nude fishnets hold it all together 😉 also don’t overlook some of the men of the 70’s and 80’s for fleshly inspiration…Jagger. Hendrix. Prince.

This was so interesting! I'm not exactly in my fleshy era right now, but I'm drawn to subtle masculine details like stiff shirts, cufflinks and super high collars. Not fleshy at all, really, but I feel like there's a nod to discipline and submission that has the right kind of kink for me.

Omg yes! A friend gifted me a high Demulemeester collar with a ribbon attached … boss!

What a great post! Lots to ponder. I’ve been noticing I’m feeling the need to wear slightly tighter jeans - less Man-Repellish for lack of a better word.

Ahaaaaa, yep. The right tight jean can feel amazing. We have more than one side, more than one vibe…

Absolutely love this! My key takeaways from your article are a big YES to:

🖤 Get back in black

🐆 Leopard (always a vibe!)

🤍 Tone on tone and neutrals (so chic!)

⚖️ Proportion (it’s all about balance)

🔁 Repeat (because good style deserves a replay)

🖤 Leather (timeless and edgy)

👡 Low heels (comfort + style = perfection)

Such a great read—thanks for sharing!

GREAT post! Had to subscribe. Made me think about my own version of "fleshly" as I tend to lean more into masculine/playful which often doesn't feel like it quite hits the "sexy" mark. My version is a deep V-neck top or a button down that's barely buttoned (extra points for a leopard or lace bralette peeking through). I also bought a leather mini this year, which is very outside the norm for me but has been a 10/10 on the trying new things scale.

Thank you for subscribing! And I LOVE your fleshly forays. I am so into the unbuttoned button up and recently did with a new bralette. Same page! XX.

I just love this so much! I feel like sexiness requires a very advanced style skillset and I did not even consider it until this post, but you break it down here so well!

So many takeaways here! Love the idea of looking into upgrading those chiller moment in our lives like working out and sleepwear (looks down at ratty hole-ridden tracksuit) 😂

I’ll tell you about one night of moisturizer + tanning drops and I already woke up like helll-o! ♥️ 😚

Kudos to you for finding a spark—I’m so far from whatever it is we need to rename, all I could think of when I saw the images was “no one is carrying a shoulder bag… this is inaccessible to me.” But perhaps once I have returned to my adult life (I’m commenting from the bedroom of my girlhood), I’ll have more imagination.

I gave it a whirl today — with a bag —and felt good. Also lying in bed right now with moisturizer on me! A first in a while. Will report back. 😚

Thank you, just joined! So many great ideas!!!

Just about 59 and no cellulite and I can’t just play tennis all the time to show it off lol…(ps I never play but the skirts..sigh…

I look up Carine a lot for inspiration…

One thing that makes me more confident in a tight pencil or pants is fabric with zero light reflection. I’m going to play with shorter loose AND shiny and see how that feels.

Braless is tempting…I estimate about one more year with the right “hang, tilt, bounce etc” 😆

HA! Embraceeeeee the mini. I feel with your hair etc especially, it's great. No tennis required. Thank you for being here!
